Shawn-Michael was an English major at SIAS. After graduation, Shawn-Michael spent time working in Beijing as an executive-assistant for an international company. Shawn-Michael has taught English and Chinese since returning back to SIAS in 2005. His dynamic style of teaching, along with his standard Chinese accent makes him a popular favorite amongst his international students. 
After starting her university life at SIAS, Winnie transferred her studies to Xian Foreign Studies University where she studied English and also taught standard Chinese. After teaching English and Chinese at an international school in Harbin (a city in northern China ), she returned to SIAS where she is involved with many day-to-day operations at the university.
